REVIEW: Always the best Fajitas. My husband loves the paella. Am so glad they opened another branch in Kingston, MA as that one is closer to my home and the food is equally yummy.

REVIEW: This is an awesome restaurant. The prices are low and the food is excellent. My favorite is the shredded beef. The sauce is just the right blend of sweet and spicy.

REVIEW: Usually when I go to a restaurant I order the same thing. The food is so good at La Paloma I find myself experimenting and ordering different items from the menu and trying the daily lunch specials. I haven't been disappointed yet! I'll keep going back and keep trying new things.

South Shore Echo Review:
"La Paloma is definitely a keeper"

REVIEW: La Paloma just recently opened in Kingston (their original location is in Quincy). As you may has gathered from its name, it is a Mexican restaurant - my favorite! To be honest, at first I wasn't so sure if I wanted to go. The location itself has a history of restaurants that don't last long, and when they are there they're not so great. However, being the fearless explorer that I am, I opted to give it a go - and it was amazing!
For dinner, I had chicken enchiladas with a mole sauce - the mole was very good. I have had some superior mole and some less-than-great mole and this was was definitely on the northern side of the spectrum. The enchiladas were smothered in cheese, but not overkill. The black beans and rice made for an excellent side - the rice had a hint of spice, but nothing overwhelming. The margarita (yumm) was very good. I had just the classic one and the proportions of sour mix to tequila to salt were pleasing to my margarita-loving taste buds.
So, fear not my fellow South-Shore-lifers, while the "last" restaurant that was in this location was sub-par, La Paloma is definitely a keeper and I hope they are around for awhile because one of my fellow diners had bacon wrapped shrimp and I really want to try those.
Oh, and they do take-out! Yes!

REVIEW: I was worried that after hearing the restaurant had opened a new location that the best of the crew would be focused on the new facility. That was not the case! The food and service were excellent! A+ for both. Never had a less then excellent meal there. Waitress extremely friendly and never let my glass run dry.

"La Paloma is hands down the best Mexican you can get around here."
Rating: 5 out of 5

REVIEW: When I realized I hadn't yet reviewed my most favorite Mexican Restaurant in the ENTIRE Boston area, I almost stabbed myself in the eye with the top of my sombrero. I mean seriously Meg, get it together.
La Paloma is hands down the best Mexican you can get around here. I agree, the Mexican around here is pitiful, but La Paloma puts a smile on my face and hearty portion of marinated steak in my belly. Their marinated steak is SO good. The waitress has given me a run down of some of the ingredients but I usually am so deeply in a steak coma that I glaze over and forget. It's tender, juicy and perfectly cooked every time.
The price is awesome, the location is easy even from Boston and I love love love their specials. I plan to make this place a regular stop on my culinary quest for Mexican greatness.
Try not to eat 2 bowls of tortilla chips while you're sucking down your mango margherita. You won't.

REVIEW: During the time we lived in Massachusetts, we ate at La Paloma weekly. Now that we live 7 hours away, we gladly make the trip just to eat there.
The tacos there are so much better than any other restaurant, there is no comparing them. The overall quality of the food is excellent and the chips and salsa are the best.
We have always had good, quick service here.
We have tried many different Mexican restaurants and this is our favorite.

"Best Mexican I've had in the metro Boston area"

REVIEW: I ordered the chili rellano as an app. and it was excellent. I had two Margaritas and they were very good, small for the price but still tasty. I got enchiladas and asked them to put a mole sauce on instead of the tomatillo that was on the menu. It was the best authentic mole sauce I've had in years. Where others usually fail they succeeded in using just the right amount of Mexican chocolate (what makes it a mole sauce) which didn't make the sauce bitter or over powering like so many other restaurants. I had flan for dessert and it was very good, although I found it odd that they put whip cream on it. Flan is Flan it doesn't need whip cream but as I said it was still very good. I ordered take out to for a Mexican friend that was at home & ill in bed. It was the chicken dish with mango salsa, it was well received and I was told it was delicious, and that's by someone from Mexico.
My waitress was AMAZING, she could answer all of my questions (a true task) about the menu and seemed to really care.
For this picky foodie (me) I can say it is some of the most authentic Mexican food I've had in years and I was very happy. Don't expect Tex-Mex prices, you are going to pay a few dollars more here for the real deal.

"La Paloma boasts savory Mexican fare!"
Rating: 4 out of 5

REVIEW: We try and visit monthly. As mentioned by the others, the salsa is good. Slightly spicy but not too herby.
The drinks are great. The food is very good, including the more traditional dinner plates. The fajitas are fantastic, that's a safe bet anytime.
One significant note is that La Paloma strives to be a little more traditional Mexican fare. They don't veer too much into Tex-Mex, fusion, Mexican gourmet, or Spanish cuisine... they strictly shoot for high quality traditional Mexican meals at reasonable prices.
It's worth a short drive. Always good for a nice and fun night out.
